I Love This Stamp Set!
I have come to the decision that the Roses in Winter stamp set is my favorite. I like all of my stamps, but this one I can use with just about anything. As promised, I stamped last night. I didn't post it last night because I didn't have any batteries for my camera. My rechargeable batteries were dead so I had to recharge them and then take the picture.
I used real red and marigold morning ink and card stock and I found a prima that matched almost perfect to the marigold morning. I used my cuttlebug for the real red card stock and real red brads for the centers of the flowers. I love the way the stamped flowers cam out. They really do POP! Well I hope you all had a great weekend and happy stamping!

Late Night Doodle
I went over to my neighbor's house and made a card last night. I also did some scrapbook pages, but they aren't quite finished yet. I will show them after they are all done. Here is the card I made at about midnight last nigh.I used my prismacolor pencils to color all the flowers and the little swirls. I use a prima flower and a yellow/orange brad for the center. I am going to put a sentiment underneath the large flower later. I am not sure what I am going to use it for so that is why there isn't anything there. I finally got my Cuttlebug folders in yesterday and I was so excited! I ordered 7 but only 5 have made it here so far. I got Spots and Dots, Traffic Jam, D'vine Swirls, Tiny Mosaic, and Bloom Dots. I am waiting on the Tiny Bubbles and Thanks. I might get some other things done tonight, but I will have to see how good my kids are first. Hope everybody has a great weekend (what's left of it) and happy stamping!

I've Been Tagged!
Marie tagged me and what I have to do now is tell you 7 things about myself and then tag 7 more people.
1. I have two wonderful children, Molly(11 months) and Caleb(almost 3). I also have a wonderful husband who is in the USAF serving as a dental technician.
2. I am a stay at home mom who can never seem to keep her house clean even if her life depended on it. My babies like to scatter all their toys all around my house. I also have a never ending pile of laundry that keeps getting bigger and bigger.
3. My nickname is Gumby. My dad gave me the name when I was about 5. I am double jointed just about everywhere and he found me in my bed one morning sleeping with my head on the same side of the bed as my feet.
4. I only buy stamps from Stampin' Up!. I tell myself that if they stop making wood stamps and start making acrylic stamps, I will quit buying and demonstrating. I really dislike acrylic stamps. I have used them and they just don't look as good as rubber stamps. The images just aren't as clear.
5. I have been married twice. I have Caleb with my first husband and Molly with my current husband. I do not plan to get divorced ever again and if for some reason I do, I will never marry again (not trying to jinx myself because I love my husband).
6. Mike, my darling husband, is the greatest person in the world and I love him so much. He is a wonderful father and he is the best dish washer that I have ever had! He helps me out so much with everything and I don't think I would get any stamping done without his help.
7. Finally, I am the "bad guy" when it comes to disciplining my children. My husband is the "good guy" and plays with them. I'm not really "bad", I just make them go to their rooms when they aren't being very nice or not listening.
I tried to pick people that haven't already been tagged. These are the 7 blogs that I read on a daily basis (if I don't pick you, don't think that I don't read your blog or think that I don't like it):
1. Kimberly - Crafty Me
2. Sharon - Paper Fections
3. Kim - Kim's Creations
4. Natasha - Palmtrees and Pogosticks
5. Jen - Stamp With Me
6. Susan - Susie Stamp Alot
7. Angie - Quacking Creations
I read more then 7 blogs everyday, but I could only pick 7 people. Well I am hoping to stamp today (we will see how far that goes) and if I get a chance, I will post what I have done. Have a great week and happy stamping!

Tornado Party!?!
In case you were wondering, there was a tornado last night near the Air Force base that we live on. I know, I know your supposed to seek shelter and all that other stuff. When I was a kid, we never got really prepared unless the power went out or it started hailing. I've lived in Texas all my life and I have went through plenty of hurricanes, tornado's and floods. Well we had a "tornado party" last night with a couple of our neighbors. In other words, all the girls went to make cards while all the boys sat in the living room and played games on the Internet and drank beer. Here is what I made during our "tornado party".I made this for my neighbor who is having a boy sometime soon. I used my prismacolor pencils to color the picture and added some stickles on it. I know it is supposed to be for a boy, but I couldn't resist. I kept it fairly simple so it wasn't so girly. This has got to be my most favorite stamp set. I love the roses in winter stamp set. I think I use it more then any other stamp set that I own. I was thinking about using this as a mother's day card. Not too sure yet, but we will see. Well hope everybody had a great weekend and happy stamping!

Weekend Stamping is Always the Highlight of My Week!
My friend Kaitie and I have been making cards all weekend long while our husbands have been out fishing. Of course they didn't catch anything, but they had fun so that is all that counts. On a side note, do any of you ever get into heated arguments/discussions over scrapbooking or making cards? Well yesterday we went out to Dairy Queen for some ice cream and this specific MAN told my friend that he gets nothing out of her scrapbooking. The nerve of him saying that. I was absolutely flabbergasted that he would say such a mean thing to her. I tried to explain to him the importance of what she is doing for him, but being the man that he is, he had to say something that was completely rude! I don't have to tell you that it got pretty heated after that. I am a very passionate scrapbooker/stamper and so you can only guess what I had to say. Anyhow I borrowed the layout from somebody's SCS sketch challenge. I will have to post which one later on, but for now I will just note that it is somebody else's layout.
I used my prismacolors to color the crab, sand and sky. I made the card 5 1/2" by 6". It was very easy to make and I think the simplicity was the key to making this card look great. I used waterfall stickles on the prima flower. Later on I think I will do a tutorial on how to make your crimper crimp in a straight line. Yes, I use a special techinque to make it straight. Until then, happy stamping!
Swell News!
A friend of mine is having a baby and I made this card for her. I love the swell news stamp set and I also love the tall cards a lot! This one measures 8" by 8 1/4". I used a tempting turquoise brad to hold the fold down and also put some stickles on it (if you click on it to make it larger, I think you will be able to see the stickles). I used my prismacolor pencils to color the "gift bag" at the bottom. I put random stickles all over the dots in the card stock. I took a picture of the tag that pulls out so that you can see what I put on it.
I sponged the tag with old olive and tempting turquoise ink and then used my prismacolor pencils to color in the pregnant lady. I also added some stickles to her hair just for that bit of extra sparkle! I worked on this last night and the night before. I had to make it twice because it just didn't come out like I wanted it to. Well hope you all have had a great weekend and happy stamping!

Doodle This
I bought some of the So Saffron long notes a while back and I just now thought to use them. I was thinking about something to make with them and decided on this.
Something simple and not to complicated. I used some stickles on the flower and put an old olive brad in the center of the flower. Anyhow I will try to post something else later. I have to go to the post office (which by the way, my husband was supposed to do four days ago, but didn't).

Using Prismacolor Pencils
Well as I said before, I have been playing with my prismacolor pencils today and I finally finished the card. I don't know if any of you just wait anxiously for the post man like I do or not, but I love getting new stuff in the mail. If my husband didn't know any better, he would think I was having an affair with the mail man. But he knows that I only use him for my card and scrapbook stuff. That's right I said it, I am a user (well at least with the postal workers, particularly the one that delivers to my house). Anyhow here is my card. Can you see the stickles on the prima (I got six new sets of primas in the mail yesterday)? They are so cute. I used Star Dust Stickles. They are so cut. I am just a beginner at the prismacolor pencils so the colors that I wanted to use for the sand and sky didn't turn out quite like I wanted them to, but I think it looks pretty good for the first time using them. I just love getting new things in the mail. I ordered three more bottles of stickles today and I am expecting my cuttlebug, folders, a crimper, and a couple of other really cool stuff. I have become more addicted to card making and scrapbooking then I ever would have imagined! Hopefully today after I get back from spin, I will be able to make some more stuff with my new pencils and hopefully post them later on tonight. Until then happy stamping!

She just put her first post up today, how exciting is that!?! Anyhow check her out at My Creative Memories Closet. Well I will be posting what I made with my prismacolor pencils last night later on as soon as I finish.

Some Cards for ME!
I am a card hoarder! I confess...it started about three years ago (I knew about SU! since high school, but got into it in 2004) and haven't stopped since. When I first layed my hands upon that holy book (not as holy as the bible, although), I couldn't stop looking and I knew that I had found the perfect stamp company and I haven't looked back since.
I went to a crop at my friends house to scrapbook Friday and Saturday night. It was wonderful...peace and quiet, no kids, no dirty house to worry about and so on and so forth...you get the picture. I was supposed to be working on my scrapbook pages of Molly and Caleb, but I really really wanted to make cards. I made the ones in the previous post for somebody else and decided that I needed some new ones for myself. How greedy is that? I know, I am shameful *sighs*. It is an addiction and I just can't help myself.
My husband said to me the other day, "why can't you be like other women and want clothes or purses?" I replied to him, "why do I need clothes when I have stamps? If I could, I would tape stamps to myself and wear them as clothes!" I am sure you can guess what he said about that..he went on and on about how he didn't want any other men looking at me and well you know the rest. I think I have rambled on just about enough so here is what I made for ME!
I just love the petals and paisley DS paper and of course I have to use every single scrap of it. The green P&P DS paper reminds me of a place where you can find bugs. Don't ask me why, but I guess to me it looks kinda like Stampin' Up!'s version of a fancy jungle.I used Pretty in Pink and Barely Banana card stock for this card. I love the way the white organdy looks with this stamp set. I used the smooshing effect from Emily's blog. I just love looking at new stuff that she does...she is so creative. I love the way the banana looks with the pink cs.

Well It is getting kinda late (and my husband is glaring at me for keeping him up so late..yes he's one of those who won't go to bed without me, but I love him and think he is absolutely wonderful!) and I think you are probably sick of hearing me ramble so I will say, "Goodnight and happy stamping!"
My own version of a RAK
I go to a spin class with my neighbor and we absolutely love our instructor (not in that way). He is the nicest and most positive person I have ever met. He told us that he loved hand made cards and so I decided to make some for him. I wanted them to be kinda manly so they are a bit different then I usually make. So far I have only made him four. In a way I guess you can say I am doing a RAK (random act of kindness).
Finally, I made him a masculine Roses in Winter card. I, of course, sponged on this card. I know it looks over done for a masculine card, but I couldn't help myself. I had to add the ribbon. It was the perfect touch to this card. I just love this stamp set. I think it is one of my favorites.

Do You Link Here?!?
I just wanted to know if you link here. If you do, please leave a comment with your blog address and I will be over to take a look. I just love looking at other people's blogs. As you can see, I don't really have too many people on my blog roll. If you would like to be added to my blog roll, please leave a comment. Thanks and I can't wait to hear from you. Happy stamping!
I Finally Got One!!!
Well I haven't got it yet, but it will be here next week sometime anyway. I won a cuttlebug on ebay for only $40! I was so excited that I finally got one!!! I also ordered some stickles and prima sprites. They too will be here next week sometime. Now all I need to know is if anybody knows if there is a good Internet store that sells the folders for a little cheaper. Please let me know if you know of one. I live on an Air Force base near the border of Mexico and all we have for shopping is a Wal-mart and an HEB. We don't have a Hobby Lobby or Michael's (sobs...) which is a complete bummer.
As I stated in the previous post (I think it was that one), I got some prismacolor pencils. The only problem that I had was that I ordered my stumps and gamsol from Inky Antics and apparently they were delayed on shipping for a couple of weeks! I was like, "OMG I can't wait a couple of weeks for that, I need it now!" I already got my pencils in the mail (and I got 6 light fast and 6 neutrals for free!) and I needed those things right then as well. So they have been sitting at my desk tormenting me all week. I haven't even sharpened them. What a bummer because they are kinda useless right now until I get those stumps and gamsol. How disappointing is that? On the brighter side though, I did get a shipment confirmation that they are shipping them today! Here is what I got...I didn't have this picture here before, but thought I would show you what I got.I am going to go to a crop tonight and will post what I made tomorrow or late tonight. Anyhow I just thought I would share my excitement with you all today! Have a great weekend and happy stamping!

We Have A Winner...!
Well before I reveal who has won the blog candy, I made a few cards this weekend that I am going to share with you. Also, I just received my watermark from Beth Silaika! They are wonderful! Anyhow on to the cards... I just love the color scheme on this card. It just POPS! I watercolored the flowers and added some dimensionals to the larger ones. I also used the paisley background stamp (I don't know if you can tell or not).
I love the roses in winter stamp set. It is absolutely beautiful! I also love using the pretty in pink and bravo burgundy inks and paper together. I sponged the words with pretty in pink, which adds a very beautiful touch to the card. I tried to put some white craft ink on the first black layer of card stock. It didn't turn out as I had planned, but I am going to re-make the card and just make it a regular black with no sponging.
I promise this is the last card that I have for today. I got so much accomplished this weekend. I am very proud of myself for doing so much. It is very hard to ignore your kids when my darling husband can't control them all the time. But he did a wonderful job for the most part.
Anyhow I used my canvas background stamp on the turquoise card stock along with the birds that go with the wild about you stamp set. For the alligator and lion I colored on them in different spots and then spritzed them with a bit of water. I think they are very cute! I sponged tempting turquoise and green galore on the stamped word. I also used some tempting turquoise ribbon to complete the whole card.
Anyhow now that I have babbled on about all my cards and what not, on to the winner.
I just wrote all the numbers of the people that entered on a piece of paper and then cut them up and put them in a bowl, mixed them up and drew a number without looking and found my winner. The winner is #16 which is Jodene. She said...
Just found your blog from Allison's. You have a wonderful blog. I just love your card tins. Great job!
Jodene would you please e-mail me your address and I will get that in the mail to you as soon as possible! I would like to thank all of you for your support and comments (good or bad) and also wish all of you a happy week/weekend. If you would like to give me links to your blogs so that I may visit them, please leave me a comment with the address. I am one of those women that read blogs while my children are asleep and before I go to be. I am a blog-a-holic! Well hope to post more you later and happy stamping!
I used the butterfly of happiness stamp set for this next card. I know it isn't available, but I love this stamp set. I also sponged on the speckled background. I like how it turned out with the colors that blended when I sponged the pretty in pink and the barely banana. I used the rock-and-roll technique for the edges of the butterflies. For the words at the bottom, I used my Stampin' Up! markers to color them in. I love those things. I decided to use a longer card for this one. I found it on somebody elses blog and thought it was a cute idea to make it very tall.
Anyhow I am trying to find a better digital camera so that when I take pictures, you can see the details. This camera doesn't do too much justice to any of my cards, which is kinda disappointing if you know what I mean.

Organizing and Working Out
I have been kinda busy this week so I haven't posted or created anything. I have been organizing my stamp and scrapbook stuff. I was going to post yesterday and right before I got to click the publish button, my lovely daughter erased my post. I was so upset, but I didn't have a chance to re-do it because I had a ton of stuff to do. Me and my neighbor have also been going to a spin class twice a week and doing a regular work out the other three days (no weekends, I have to use the weekends to stamp). Anyhow this is what I have done with all my stuff. This is the top of my closet where I put all of my extra picture frames and my Creative Memories photo storage boxes. I also have scrapbooks and a few other random things up there. Starting from the bottom drawer and going to the top, I have my tool kit and punches in the bottom. The middle drawer has my embossing materials, hodgepodge and watercolor wonder crayons. The top drawer has my ribbon and my extra supplies such as, tape runner refills and blade refills. This is the very top drawer of this bin. It has four small drawers and three big drawers. This bin has all my everyday use tools. This is just a single Rubbermaid that has all my stamp pads in it. I put them in one by their selves so if I needed to move them easily then I could. This one is of the other side of my closet. It has all of my portable storage equipment which is Creative Memories. I love their storage options. They have the most convenient, but cheap storage stuff. This one is my table and my paper cart. I put them by the closet so I wouldn't have to work to get to all my stuff. If you can see it, Molly dropped her pacifier under my table (I put my stuff in her room. I don't think she will mind though, she is only 11 months old). This is Molly's side of the room. You can see her sleeping that is if you can see around all of her stuffed animals. She loves stuffed animals. Also, you can see the mountain of diapers I go through every couple of months. My soon to be three year old refuses to use a potty and so I still have to buy diapers for him. Anyhow now that you have seen what I have been doing, I hope you can sympathize with me for not posting more this past few days.
These are the Rubbermaid bins where I keep all my supplies. As you can tell, I haven't quite finished organizing everything, but I am almost there.
These are just some of my stamps. I have another three drawer bin full of stamps as well. I arrange them by the size of the containers. The other bin has all my discontinued stamp sets. This particular bin has all my current stamp sets.I will be getting some new prismacolor pencils in the mail sometime next week and will definitely be posting. I found a site that had a set of 48 for $45! So far that is the best deal that I have found. I got them from Art Supplies Online. They have some great deals on lots of different art stuff. Check them out. They are usually 20% cheaper then other stores. Their shipping isn't very much either. Anyhow happy stamping!
