Who Likes Free Rubbah????

I have hit my 100 posts and I think I am going to celebrate with some blog rubbah!!! Kinda sounds a little morbid but you guys know what I mean! So I guess you all wanna know what bit of rubbah you'll be commenting for....well it is your choice of two stamp sets. You either have the choice of getting the new Merry & Bright (remember the sets in the mini are die cut which means you won't have to mount them!) stamp set from the unreleased Holiday Collection Mini Catalog on page 15 or Haunting Halloween stamp set from the current IB&C which can be found on page 29. If you have not had the chance to see the new mini catalog and do not know what the set looks like I would gladly e-mail you a copy of it to you.

What do you have to do to win you may ask......well you will have to comment telling me what you dislike about the new catalog. I did a what you like about it already so now I want to hear what you dislike about the catalog. If you don't dislike anything about the new catty then you have the option to tell me something you do like about it.

Good luck to all of you! By the way, the deadline for entries is September 7, 2007 by noon. I am going out of town next week so that is why I am posting the deadline for so far out. My DH is going to be having another procedure done on his back. If I post anything it will be below this entry because I want to keep this entry at the top of the page. So good luck to all of you and happy stamping!

Wow congrats on your milestone!! What I don't like about the new catty is the prices and that everything will retire in 6 months.

Wow how generous of you. Thanks for celebrating this with us! The only thing I dislike about the catty is there are so many new sets I don't have the money for them. Even if I did I don't think I could buy all the sets I want b/f the new one comes out. While I love the idea of two catalogs a year it was financially better for me when there was one a year, not so many new sets to want to buy :-)

Thanks for being so generous!!!-Samantha

Hmm...I was disappointed at the lack of kids sets (or ones I felt I had to have!). Also disappointed that prices went down and then went back up...sigh! TFS!

I am also disappointed with the high prices. Maybe SU should consider an unmounted option? They never would, I mean their wood is lovely but it's got to have something to do with the high prices!

Sweet SU celebration candy you are sharing with your readers. Congrats! I was disappointed with the price increase, but not shocked. I'm really surprised that the hostess amount didn't go up, since they increased our spending. Thanks for a chance.

I guess I hate the fact that the cattys are hard to locate after awhile. So if you buy something out of the catty, its hard to find the information on it later, if you want to sell it or show it to someone. Little cattys tend to get tossed.

I don't like that I can't afford everything I like, and that I'll only have 6 months to purchase some of it.

I'm in the same boat. I dont like that anything could be gone in six months! I also didn't like that there are no Wedding sets.. and the Canadian prices are killers! lol

I have to admit that with all the sets they discontinued, I was expecting more of a variety. I was really disappointed at first, but many of the new sets have grown on me now that I've seen some of the great stuff that others are doing with the new sets.

Congrats on 100 posts! The thing that i don't like is that i can not have those goodies in my country! But of course if i could have them, the problem would be the high prices!

Alison said...

Wow! Thanks for the candy offer. Very generous! My least favorite thing about the new catalog? What just about everyone else said -- the higher prices!

Congrats on 100!! What I didn't like about the new catty -- not enough WOW sets. For me, there are only a few on my wishlist. Also, the higher prices is a problem. Also, it would be nice to have a fresh new modern baby or wedding set! I still love looking through the catalog though....

Congrats to you. I am not a fan of the lack of little girl sets. Have my fingers crossed for the next one. I also don't like how high the prices are in Canada.

Hi Jennifer!
Gosh, I sure do like your idea of rubbish!

What I don't like about the new catty...
no more nice thin organdy ribbon :(

Susan (susiestampalot) said...

well, i guess i am the strange bird here and i like most everything in the new catalog. i will say, though, the prices did seem a little higher and not as many lower priced sets. i am not a demo and if my mom wasn't, i probably would have never noticed any price differences! oh and i am scared about more fav's going away!!

Congratulations! Great blog! I have to agree that the prices seem a little high so it's hard to afford a lot of what I'd like to buy. I love the new colors though.

Val said...

I found the prices to be quite a bit higher, especially the paper and inks.

The Nelson Clan said...

I hate that I can't get all the colors in 12x12 so that would be my biggest complaint. I am ok with the prices going up a bit since it seems everything else in the world has gotten higher in price.

Hi! The only thing I can think of is that I wish they In Colors came in stampin' spots. (besides the ones in the punch box:)

Thanks!

I want more kid oriented stuff to scrapbook with, mainly boyish. Stamps and paper and boyish embelishments. My advice to S-U is to think about the places that people go and take pictures of their kids and make sets to go with them.

Jen said...

Congrats!

I was a tad disappointed because I am looking for a baby set that I gotta have...and didn't find one in the catty.

I guess I'm with the majority on the price issue - just can't afford to buy very much! I also thought some of the sets were very similar to past sets.
Congrats!

Congrats on your hits! I was pretty happy with the products int he new catty but not the prices. I think they were way overboard! Hope to afford 1 or 2 sets soon!

Donna Baker said...

I like free rubbah! great giveaway, congrats on your hits (you have a great blog, found from Allison at Stampin' When I can)! I dislike most is the fact that a lot of the sets look alike! There were only a few that screamed I NEED that set!

Ijsbeer said...

I agree with Ghazal that its too bad its not aviable in my country. I can get them through a private person but the prices are high. I wish there where more price options so that it could suit everyone:)

Monika said...

CONGRATULATIONS on your hits! The only thing I don't like about the new cataloug is...the prices went up again.!

Anonymous said...

Congratulations on your blog hits! I dislike the prices of the new catalog, the lack of variety of stamps, and that there isn't a variety pack for the different colors of designer paper. I wanted them to offer something like Palette of Prints or at least sell a couple colors together. Thanks for the chance at a stamp set; very generous blog candy!

My biggest peeve right now about the catty is I cant find it-I stuck it out of th way and have no idea where. But I also liked the bigger catty for the whole year as I dont stamp by current season. I do valentines at easter and christmas at valentines. and the price increase was pretty ridiculous too.

I don't like the fact that every thing is so costly. I wish I could buy more!

Betty said...

Congrats on your hits!! The only thing I disklike are the prices!! But congrats!

I really like the mini. Hmm this is hard! I guess the only thing I dislike is that I wish there was more ribbon and embellishments to choose from, and I wish the wrapping paper was DP! I just love it for cards.

I think the catalog itself is rather pricey and now I have to buy 2 or them every year instead of just 1. Sheesh.

Nikki Bond said...

Congrats on the wonderful milestone! I would have to say I wasn't too happy that prices went up and I really wish the simply set stamps could be purchased separately without the CS. Some of those stamps are too cute but very pricy with the sets.

Congrats! I do like the new cattie alot, but also was disappointed with the price increase. With the Canadian dollar being so high, it makes it a bit harder to swallow. I was a bit disappointed with the baby and wedding sets. I love the fact that there'll be new stuff in 6 months, but as a demo I cringe at losing even more stuff through retirement twice a year. But overall, I really did like alot of the new stuff...the ribbon and paper especially!
Thanks for a chance at a great prize!!

As a customer I have to say that the cost of the catalog itself is a disappointment escpecially since it's only for 6 months and then it's outdated. The samples in the catalog are pretty simple so I don't purchase it because of the benefit of the samples. Now I just look through it online.

I like "Rubbah"...lol
Congrats on you 100+ posts
Love SU..Such a gift ! I am seeing and hearing a lot of disapointment
on the new prices and quality.. I
hope this does not effect sales..
because I am thinking about becoming a demo.
Thanks for a chance to win your "Rubbah"

My biggest complaint is that Cool Caribbean was discontinued and it was the best color there was. And I agree with everyone that isn't happy about the price increase too.

Kristina Lewis said...

Hello! And congrats! I love the new catty, but not the price increases. ((hugs))

Debbie Fisher (debbiedee) said...

congratulations on your hits!
The thing I didn't like the most about the catty was the new sets that looked like retired ones with a few new stamps in them.

Emily said...

What awesome blog candy! The thing I dislike most about the new caddy is there is no 1/4" Chocolate grosgrain. That just infuriates me! It also seems like the selection has gone way down. I mean I know the caddy is smaller, and we get another soon, but there are so many things that are similar it makes it seem like there is less than there is. Does that even make sense? lol =)

Anonymous said...

I agree that the sets are getting very expensive. There is usually one or two stamps per set that I might really like and the rest, well - not so much. So it's hard to justify the price. I'd rather buy from a company that sells individually so I can get the stamps that I actually want & will use.

Jen said...

Congrats on hitting 100 :) What do I not like about the catty..the lack of fall type sets. It seems to me they have more sets gearing toward spring/summer not fall/winter. But I guess I shouldnt complain because I have found enough sets to spend my money on.

Anonymous said...

Hmmmm, would have to be the prices! I'm also with Allison on the lack of kids sets.
TFS I hope I win :o)

Hi Jennifer!
Congratulations on 100 posts!!!
And thank you for offering an awesome prize...WOW!

What I don't like about the new catty: all of that beautiful designer paper...why can't they include a list of the coordinating colors for each one?!

Anonymous said...

I like SU but didn't really find too much that wowed me. I generally have a wish list a mile long & this time there was only about 5 sets that I have to have. I sure do like the new colors though. Hope all's going well for your husband!

Hi Jennifer!
Congratulations on 100 posts!!!
And thank you for offering an awesome prize...WOW!

What I don't like about the new catty: I think we could still use some more masculine sets...but I really do like the new catty :)

Hi Jennifer!
Congratulations on 100 posts!!!
And thank you for offering an awesome prize...WOW!

Hope your husband's back is doing better.

I guess one thing I don't like about the new catty is the fact that we only have 6 months to qualify for a hostess set. There are 12 of us in my stamp club and we take turns being the hostess. Worked out great before. I'm not sure how we'll do it now.

I know...adapt to change :)

Hi Jennifer!
Congratulations on 100 posts!!!
And thank you for offering an awesome prize...WOW!

Not sure what time zone you're in...thought I'd check in again :)

I guess one thing I don't like about the new catty is: no stitched ribbon in the regular SU colors, unless I buy one of those sets :(
