This was one of my favorite stamp sets that I have had. I haven't been very creative here lately so I decided to pull out one that I knew I could use and make a pretty good looking card with. I'm sure from the title you can tell that I'm not too sure if I like it or not.To make the background, I used the brushed silver cs and embossed it with silver ep. I used the enchante dsp that was in the same mini that this set was. I wound up getting my hands on some liquid applique. I had to buy it from Close To My Heart. I don't use their stamps but I had to have some of that stuff. To make the background look old, I just stamped the Canvas in versa mark and then sprinkled the silver ep all over. I then got the excess powder off and then with my finger I brushed off some patches of the ep. It was a bit messy but it turned out just how I wanted it. I also added a little bit of chocolate chip ink to the foam. Anyhow I don't have anything else to share with you so have a great week and happy stamping!
Well I have a couple of announcements to make. First, I have been really busy getting back on a work out schedule so I haven't really had the time or energy for that matter to stamp or blog. Second, and its a really good on and I'm super excited to announce that I was chosen to be a guest designer for Gina K.'s design team! Isn't that just wonderful???? I had completely forgotten that I had sent in some of my work for a chance to be on her guest design team....yea who would have known that scatter brain me would have forgotten something that important! LOL! So wouldn't you know it, I got an e-mail last night asking if I still wanted to do it. Obviously I was shocked and flabbergasted to read the email. I was so dumbfounded I had to read it twice and then I had to make sure that I was reading MY e-mail and didn't accidentally log into somebody else's! I rushed into my room (where my DH lay in bed asleep) and told him the news. He was of course thrilled, but also thrilled when I left so he could get back to sleep :)! Anyhow I am hoping to get some stamping done and posted in the next couple of days but until then happy stamping!
No, I didn't fall off the face of the earth either! I finally found the time to stamp. My daughter, Molly, is starting to explore and get into everything. Therefor, I haven't had any time to stamp or clean my house for that matter. Yesterday I cleaned my house and the day before that I stamped! I know, I know, my priorities are a little backwards....stamping then cleaning. I just needed a little break from all the traveling and eating. I am probably one of the only people that didn't gain any weight during the holidays. I have actually lost 5 whole pounds and I am absolutely thrilled! Although I am not thrilled that I didn't get to enjoy hardly anything on Christmas. I had one soda and one tiny bite of pecan pie. See what I had to sacrifice to keep the pounds off??? It was very hard and I had to deal with all the temptation. Anyway, enough rambling and on to the one card that I did get out of my half hour of stamping ( I know, only 30 minutes....how did I get anything done?!?).
I've had this stamp set for almost a month now and haven't even used it. BAD stamper! I didn't have that much free stamping time so it is a very simple card with a very simple layout. At least I got something done though. I thought I was going to use this set, but I just can't seem to get very creative with it. I have to see what others come up with and get a little inspiration before I give up on it. Well hop you all had a great holiday and a safe New Year. Happy stamping!
but I have been tagged by Wanda. So I have to share 7 random and/or weird facts about myself and tag 7 people to do the same. So first I'll name the 7 random things about myself.1. I am double jointed in a lot of places....the weird one is I can dislocate my shoulder on command and it doesn't hurt. I can also put it back where it belongs too.2. My nickname when I was a child was Gumby. For reasons stated in number 1.3. I was named after an actress on One Life to Live. It was her real name not the one off the movie. My mom loves soaps!4. I named my son after this guy in high school cause he was gorgeous and I love the name Caleb.5. My daughter was not named after Molly Ringwald. I named her because I love the name Molly.6. I'm a very picky person. I don't like too much of anything. I only like vegetables that are fried or baked potatoes.7. I love ketchup on rice and potatoes that are cooked in a crock pot.Well I hope you all enjoyed my weird facts and now to tag 7 people.1. Inkcicles2. Crafty Me3. Combat Boots to Rubber Stamps4. Confessions of a Reality Show Reject5. Inkin Addict6. Military Wife Stamping Spot7. Stamping ExpressionsHopefully I will have a chance to use my new stamps soon, but until then happy stamping!
