Crab & Company

I made this card last night while I was watching t.v. with my husband. My kids (both of them) are at their grandparent's house. I will be getting Molly back next Sunday. Caleb will be coming home on the fourth of July. I miss both of them, but I have some extra well deserved time to scrapbook and spend time with my husband (which by the way, we are enjoying every minute of it). Here is what I made.I made this just for fun. I got a new background stamp from my friend whom I traded one of my stamp sets for. I think it is missing something, but just can't put my finger on it. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to comment and let me know. Thanks and happy stamping!

Birthday Invites!

I made Caleb and Molly's birthday invitations and am just now posting them. I know, I am doing things a bit backwards. It's ok though, as long as I get them posted right?

This is Caleb's birthday invitation. Isn't it just adorable!?! I love how they turned out. On the inside it has the date, time, place and RSVP information. I got the card fold idea off of Beate Johns's blog. I don't know if it was her idea, but it is so fun and easy to make.

Here is Molly's invitations. They were made with the same card fold, just different colors. I thought they were super cute! Let me know what you think and thanks for looking. Happy stamping!

Birthday Cards

Here are some of the birthday cards that Marie and Brandie made for Molly and Caleb. They are so cute! I love getting hand made cards from other people. They just make you feel extra special. This is the one that Marie made for Caleb. I love this stamp set and I love the way she made the card. The frog flips out and the bottom half lowers and has a greeting inside(if you get what I mean). Thanks Marie!!! This is the one she made for Molly. I love shaker cards. It is so cute! You can click on the pictures and go to Marie's blog to see some of her other super cool cute cards! Here is a card that Brandie made for Molly. I love the cake...it is totally cute! You can click on the picture to check out her blog as well. She has posted a bunch of cards that she has made in the past few days. Finally, here is the card she made for Caleb. I love the airplane stamp set. It is from the Toy Box stamp set that has been discontinued. Too cute don't you all agree!?!

Happy Birthday Cacie!!!

My sister-in-law's birthday was a few days ago and I just wanted to share the card that I made for her.I got a bunch of Bella Stamps and finally made something with them. The flowers on the card are from these acrylic stamps that I got from Wal-Mart. They are called Clear Stamps. I will have to show you all what they look like a little later. I also used a greeting from Stamping Bella. It is a two-fold card and the ribbon holds it closed. I used some K & Company rhinestones on the primas that I bought from the Emporium.

I also got some happy mail today! I love getting mail! Would you like to see what I got??? I knew you did so here it is.

I ordered three new paper packs, some really cute ribbon, and some rhinestone brads from S.E.I. I got two Basic Grey paper packs(Stella Ruby and Romani) and a paper pack from Crate Paper(Taylor Collection). I got all of it from Paper Cents. You can click the link in my side bar to get some great deals! Here is the close up of the ribbon. Isn't it just lovely??? It was a buy it by the yard sale and I got it for about .75 cents a yard. What a deal! Then I also used a coupon I got in my e-mail. I love coupons. I get so much more when I use them. Well hopefully I will get to use them today and post what I make. Happy stamping!

Snappy Birthday!!!

I made a card for Mike's grandma. I just got my Crab and Company stamp set today. I know the colors are kinda weird, but she loves red and purple.
I made almost everything red and purple. I think it is actually not a bad looking card. It is definitely different. You decide though, whether you like it or not. On the inside of the card it says "a pinch to grow an inch", and that's saying it to a 71 year old woman. Well anyhow hope you like my midnight card.

It's A Birthday!

Well my cousin's daughter just turned one at the beginning of the month and I thought that I would make her a card. For some reason I keep using Almost Amethyst and Pink Passion paper together. I think it is because I don't feel like cutting out anymore paper (I had some already pre-folded and ready to go). But I used the Eat Cake stamp set. I don't think I am very good at making birthday cards, but am trying new things. Anyhow enough jabbering and on to the card.I made it into one of those spotlight cards (I think that is what it is called, if not please correct me). I only did one candle because she will only be one. You will have to tell me what you think about this card and tell me whether or not you like it. This is just what it looks like on the inside. I used Creative Memories punches to make it layer like that. They come in a 1 1/2", 1 1/4", 1" and 3/4". Very convenient for layering. I also have them in squares, hearts, stars (which, I might add, come in all the sizes listed above) and I even have a punch that makes bubbles. They have others, but these are the only ones that I have. They also have a geometric multi-maker, a Disney Magic Maker, and a few other really cut punches. I love these. You can take a look at them at www.creativememories.com. The great thing about them is they come in a set of two and they are only $20 for the set. Not too shabby if you ask me.

AHHHHHHH!!!!!

I finally started to work on my stamp camp projects. I'm not finished yet, but here are a couple of cards that I made today. I am going to be making a coaster box to go with it and a couple of other things, but here is what I made so far.
I know this is kinda a weird color scheme, but I really like it. I just got this stamp set Friday with a bunch of other new stuff (what I got for V-day-yeah). Anyhow it isn't anything special because I am going to have a few beginners coming.
I also got the Bugs and Kisses stamp set and made this pocket note with it. It says happy birthday on the inside.
This is also another simple pocket note. I used the Delight in Life stamp set.

I kinda borrowed this idea from you Marie. I just couldn't think of anything to make with this stamp set. Thanks for this idea. I finally bought some aqua painters. I already had water color wonder crayons. I just used a paintbrush before. I think it looks better when I used the aqua painters.

I like the Happy Harmony stamp set a bunch. I also got this idea from you, Marie. I just couldn't think of anything to do. I was having like a stampers block. After I made them, I made my own ideas and I am going to use them at my stamp camp.

Happy Birthday!

I made my friends kids some frames for their up coming birthdays. They both have January birthdays so I made them both frames with their names.
They are going to be moving in about five months or so and I asked what colors/theme their rooms will be done in. She said that it would be pink or purple. I just mixed both of them together that way no matter what color the room would be, it would match. This is the card that I made to match the frames. After I made the card, I thought that instead of the ribbon I should have put the butterflies on the frame. It still turned out looking fine, but I can use the idea later or for something else. His room is going to be done in a western theme. He has cow spotted curtains and it will be painted blue. I found some paper (the very last matte on the letters) with little horses on it (even though you can't really tell from the picture) and it was perfect because along with the horses, there are blue polka dots that are all over the paper. I made my own cow spots for the background. This is the card I made to match Shane's frame. I used the same sticker set as I did in the frame. I ran out of the horse paper, but I think it looks fine anyway. On the inside it says "Happy Birthday Buckaroo". I saw the sticker set and knew that I would use it for the frame. It was such a good match for the room as well.
