So....

I have been really busy making my Christmas cards, and I finally finished this afternoon. Here is the mass of cards that I made and it has taken me quite a while to make all of them. It took even longer because I got food poisoning. This is what my sofa looked like after I got done stuffing half of the envelopes that I had to send out. I'm sure the lady at the post office is going to hate me or think I'm crazy. I made two different cards because I didn't have enough artichoke paper and I didn't think I would have enough ribbon to make 60 cards. Yes, you heard right, 60 cards. I know some of you have made upwards of 100, 60 for me, is a lot of cards. Especially since I have an 18 month old running around destroying things while I scramble to make the cards.I only changed the color of the card stock and ribbon and I used my piercing tool to make up for the empty space. I'm not going to list ingredients this time because I am just exhausted and need a rest. I got some new stamps, quite a few new ones actually. But for now I'm going to get some rest and will get stamping as soon as possible! Hope you all have a great week and happy stamping!

Creative License Simply Scrappin' Kit.....

I had gotten the Creative License Simply Scrappin' Kit a while back and haven't really had any time to use any of it. My DH's step mom's, daughter had a baby at the beginning of November and I decided to make her a few things. Well I actually bought her some stuff for her baby and made her a couple of things too.Sorry for the pixels, but I packaged everything and didn't really take a look at the quality of the picture. So I used Adobe to touch it up. The only way I could get rid of the blur was to "sharpen" it. You can't tell, but I used textured Blue Bayou card stock. I water colored the giraffe and used my paper piercing tool.I also made her a name frame with her baby's first and middle name. I used the adhesive die cuts that came along with the kit. I didn't want it to be too girly so I frayed the ends of the ribbon.I made one of those really cute "goodie" boxes that everybody else was making. You can find the instructions to make one here. It was a really easy to make, so if you need a quick gift box idea, this one is super easy and the instructions are really good. This is the top view of my treat box. The only thing that I didn't do the same as the instructions was, I didn't put the eyelets where my ribbon went. I didn't because my ribbon was a bit bigger then my eyelets. Well I'm not going to go into the ingredients on this project because it is only the Simply Scrappin' Kit materials and ribbon. Hope you all have a really great week and happy stamping!

Just A Quickie.....

I don't have a bunch of time to post, but I will just post the pictures with brief comments. This is the "inside" of the project. Each of the panels has an insert that you can pull out and put pictures on.Here is one of the inserts. This folds out so that you can put multiple pictures on it.Here is what it looks like when you close it and tie the ribbon on it.These next pictures are close ups of the inside of the book. The materials are from Close To My Heart. I'm not a fan but I made this for my friend. Finally here is the last bit of it. It took me forever to make it...almost 3 hours! Sorry for the short post and I hope you all have a great weekend. Happy stamping!

Holiday Thyme...

I made some cards for my ex-mother in law for Christmas.I am actually planning on giving them to her before Christmas so she can give them out. If you can see it, I embossed the "falling snow" on top of the snowflakes. I thought it would add a little extra something to the card. Here's one of those cool side shots. I made her cards in two different colors, but with the same layout. Oh and by the way, thanks for the ribbon Marie! She is in my up line and was kind enough to give me some ribbon to make these cards. My DH helped me mass produce the cards. He's such a good help and I didn't have to pull his leg to do it either!

Ingredients: Paper-True Thyme, Cranberry Crisp, Very Vanilla and Holiday Thyme DS Paper Inks-True Thyme, Cranberry Crisp, Whisper White Craft Ink and Jet Black StazOn Stamps-Perfect Ending, The Snowflake Spot Accessories-Cranberry Crisp and True Thyme Stitched Ribbon, Crystal Clear Embossing Powder and Heat Tool

Garden Silhouettes In Basic Grey....

I went out on a limb and tried something new. I love the Basic Grey paper! I used it once before, but I haven't really gotten the stamping groove like I do with other colors.I didn't have the oval punches, but I do have the Creative Memories cutting system. I turned out good without the punches. I tried to do a "mosaic" look and it turned out really cute. I didn't want to put too much color so I only colored in the flowers and their stems so that you could see them through the bland "weeds". I did one of those really neat looking side photos that everybody else was taking. It actually looks really nice. It gives more detail as to what I did on your card that I may not have seen before.

Ingredients: Stamps-Garden Silhouettes and Warm Words Paper-Basic Black, Basic Grey, Going Grey, Shimmery White Inks-Basic Grey, Going Grey and Jet Black StazOn Accessories-Creative Memories Oval Cutting System, Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon, Pirsmacolor Pencils, Blending Stumps and Gamsol

Hope everything is going well with you all this weekend and happy stamping!

Seasonal Whimsy....

I have been AWOL for the past week or so and I am sorry. I had cards for my spin instructor to finish and then I had to cook for a Thanksgiving luncheon at my husbands work. On the bright side though, I did get to stamp the other night when everybody else was sleeping. I bought the Seasonal Whimsy stamp set at the beginning of last month and I haven't used it, but I thought while I had a little bit of time on my hands that I would. The only thing I think I'm going to change is the height of the mellow moss paper. It's too tall for the DS paper. I might also change the celery paper to sky, but we'll see.

Ingredients: Stamp set-Seasonal Whimsy Paper-Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Mellow Moss, Soft Sky and Wintergreen DS Paper Inks-Always Artichoke and Soft Sky Accessories-Always Artichoke Eyelets, Silver Brads

Thanksgiving is coming soon so I don't know how much stamping I am going to get done, but as soon as I get something done I will post. Thanks for your patience and happy stamping!

Altered Cashew Jar.....

My dad loves cashews. He bought this glass jar of cashews and when he was finished with the jar, he gave it to me so I could alter it.
I love the Porcelain Prints DS paper and the Wild Rose stamp set so I decided to make a noodle jar out of it. I figured that I could use the blue and green so it wouldn't be so girly and my dh wouldn't fuss about it being to pink LOL!
This is what I did with the top of the lid. I used my Creative Memories cutting system to make the circles. The inside of the lid was this reflective metal that was unattractive. I covered it with more paper and flowers. I was going to use some Primas but I couldn't find any that matched the colors I was using.

Ingredients: Stamp Sets-Wild Rose and Rough Edges Alphabet Paper-Porcelain Prints DS paper, Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou and Whisper White Ink-Blue Bayou and Wild Wasabi Accessories-Blue Bayou and Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Ribbon, Glue Dots, Paper Snips and Creative Memories

Hope you all had a great weekend and happy stamping!

I Forgot I Made These......

Blonde moment!!! I usually don't have them but I do every now and then. LOL! I forgot that I even made my Halloween cards already. I just forgot to upload the picture. I got those cute little bat brads from target in a pack of 180. There were two colors of each shape. There were bats, moons and pumpkins. I figured the bats went perfect with Dracula.

Ingredients: Stamps-Best Fiends, Just Between Fiends Paper-Buckeroo Blue, Vintage Violet, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White Ink-Vintage Violet, Jet Black StazOn Accessories-Bat Brads (Target), Watercolor Wonder Crayons--Earth Elements, 1/4" Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon, Aqua Painters, Piercing Tool

Hope everybody had a great weekend and happy stamping!

I Know It's Been A While....

I do have a good excuse though. I went to visit my son in Houston. He is at his grandma's house going to pre-school. I've missed him so much. We left Friday and came back Tuesday night. I made this card before I left. I'm not sure if I like it too much or not. Ingredients: Stamps- Wild Rose, Party Punch Paper-River Rock, Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou, Porcelain Prints DS Paper Ink-River Rock, Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou Accessories-Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Photo Corner Punch, Pewter Brads, Dimensionals

Hopefully I will have some more stuff to share with you all later on this weekend. Hope you all had a great week and a great Friday. Happy stamping!

Christmas Cards....

I made some samples of Christmas cards for my spin instructor to choose from. I also made my Halloween cards, but I will share those in another post...I haven't taken pictures of them yet so I will probably do that tomorrow.I CASED this card layout from a lady that used to live on base. We had a swap and she used the Sketch It stamp set from last year's catalog. I had some extra Holiday Thyme DS paper from one of the mini catalogs from last year.I CASED this card from the 2006-2007 idea book and catalog. I liked the colors that it used and it was fairly simple. Mine, although doesn't look quite as good as the one in the catalog. But I think once I get the hang of tearing a rounded corner, it will look better. You can't really see it, but I used some glitter on the snowflakes to make them look a little more real. This one is my favorite! I just got this stamp set the other day in the mail. I love my Roses in Winter, but I figured I needed to get a current flower stamp set out of the new catalog so I can demo with it. I CASED the layout and colors from Jan at Stamps, Paper, Scissors. I love reading her blog and I loved the way she used this set and the color combo. I know it isn't very Christmas like, but I thought I would use a variety and give options.
I used the Like it a Latte stamp set for this card. When my puffy paint (liquid applique) comes in, I am going to add it to the whipped cream and make it pop up. The greeting says, "sending warm thoughts your way."
Finally, I made this using the new Wintergreen paper that I absolutely LOVE! This one I think is more traditional as far as Christmas is concerned (aside from not having any red). I hope my instructor likes what I made and I will let you all know what he chose. Hope you all have a great weekend and happy stamping!

DiVa Purse.....

Allison at JoStamper was kind enough to share the instructions to make a DeVa Purse with me. It turned out very cute too. I made both of the sides of the purse different so that you could have two different purses! The instructions she gave me used a 6x6 piece of card stock, but I wanted to make mine a bit bigger so I used a whole 12x12 sheet of card stock.Ingredients: Paper-Outlaw DS Paper, Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow and Really Rust Tools-10-12" Pot Lid or Bowl (for tracing), Oval Punch (works for the 6x6 purse) or Creative Memories Cutting System (this is the tool I chose to use because I wanted a bigger handle) and Scissors

Solemn Stillness....

I got my holiday stuff ordered to make my Christmas cards. I like what I made, but I'm not sure if it's what I had in mind. I ordered the Seasonal Whimsy stamp set and I am going to make another before I decide which I will use, but for now this is what I came up with.Ingredients: Stamp Set-Solemn Stillness Paper-Wintergreen DS Paper, Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Soft Sky, Certainly Celery, Sage Shadow Ink-Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Soft Sky, Certainly Celery, Sage Shadow Accessories-Sponges, 5/8" Celery grosgrain ribbon, 1/4" Artichoke grosgrain ribbon, Dimensionals, Stickles and Glue Dots

Birthday Swaps.....

I joined a swap that Kimberly at Crafty Me is hosting. The theme is birthday cards. I chose to use my CosmoBella stamp for it. I have the birthday one but I thought that I should use something that wasn't a traditional birthday stamp.Ingredients: Stamps-CosmoBella, Cheers, It's Your Birthday Paper-Tempting Turquoise, Taken With Teal, Green Galore, Whisper White, Basic Black Ink-Jet Black StazOn, Tempting Turquoise, Taken With Teal, Green Galore, Blush Blossom, Barely Banana, Old Olive and Real Red Stampin Write Markers Accessories-K&Co Rhinestones, Turquoise ribbon, 12" Decorative Creative Memories trimmer.

Blog Candy and I've Been Tagged....

Well to celebrate my birthday I have some blog candy! Having a birthday is always so much fun. You get great food, good cake and most importantly presents...lol! Well instead of getting something I have decided to give something to my wonderful readers! What is it you ask??? How about a picture....or two. Here is an aerial view of all of the goodies you will get if you win.
I have included a variety of ribbon from the past SU! catty and some assorted velvet ribbon. I don't have any measurements on how much, I just know it is quite a bit.
This is a close up of the stamp set that I have to go along with it. I don't have the original package thanks to my wonderful 16 month old daughter :)...she destroyed it! LOL!
I also included 26 pieces of Bazzil cardstock. Not pictured is 10 blank coasters and a bit of Tack 'N Peel. I had originally bought it to mount my Bella stamps on, but I found out in the end I didn't need it. There is a small square cut out, but I figured since I didn't need it that I could give it to somebody who would use it.

How do you win all of this yummy candy you ask....just post a comment telling me what you traditionally do for your birthday. Weekend Sketch Challenge #17.....

I know I'm a bit late on that but I liked the layout. I don't normally do those, but I just haven't been in my usual stamping groove....if you know what I mean.Supplies: Stamp set-Garden Silhouettes CS-Groovy Guava, Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate and Shimmery White Ink-Groovy Guava, Pretty in Pink and Purely Pomegranate Accessories-Word Window Punch and SEI Light Pink Rhinestone Brad

Very simple card to make and like I said, I haven't really been in the mood to stamp or create anything new. I did however make a card the other day.....it was horrible and I'm not even going to take a picture of it to show it off because I absolutely hate it! I don't want anybody to look at it and see how utterly horrible of a stamper I am on an off day (lol)! Well hope you all have a great week and happy stamping!

Happy Birthday Janice.....

I made a quick card using Beate's weekend sketch challange #4. I was in a hurry to make it so I chose a simple one. Ingredients: Stamp Set-Giftabella with hat CS-Pink Passion, Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Whisper White Accessories-Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Blending Stumps Ink-Jet Black StazOn

Very simple to make especially when you're in a hurry. Well hope you all have a great week and happy stamping!

I Stamped.....

Yes, you heard correctly, I stamped! I CASED somebody and added a bit of my own to it as well. I borrowed the sketch and color combination from Running With Scissors. I love reading her blog. It is wonderful! She use Baroque Motifs and I decided to use the Garden Silhouettes.

Ingredients: Paper-Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Groovy Guava, Stella Ruby Ink-Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Groovy Guava Accessories-Hemp Twine, White Organdy Ribbon, Stampin Sponges Stamp set-Garden Silhouettes

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but to make up for it, I posted twice today! Happy Stamping!

My NEW Stampin' Space.....

I recently took over my daughter's room and put all of my scrapbooking and stamping stuff in her old room. My son is going to school at his grandma's house so that it will be easier to move when the time comes for my husband to get out of the military. So while we wait, I decided that my son didn't need a room because he won't be her. I move Molly in his room and my scrapbook stuff in her old room (if that makes any sense??? LOL). I took pictures of how I organize my stuff....well the majority of it.These are all of my current stamp sets. I put them atop the towers and they sit beside my tables where all the magic happens...well crafting magic that is. LOL.These on the other hand, are all of my retired stamp sets that I chose to keep. There are quite a few that I couldn't bring myself to part with.
This drawer houses all of my cuttlebug embossing templates, my hodgepodge and a few other miscellaneous items.
Obviously this is the drawer that has all my punches and my crafter's tool kit. As you can see not all of them are SU! I had the colored ones since I first started stamping. I just didn't see a reason to get the SU! punches if I already had the same ones. Gotta at least make an attempt to save my DH some money....I know he appreciates it *snickers!
This has all of my adhesive, rulers, cutting blades, glues and just the things that I use on a regular basis. As you can tell I don't really have it organized because I think it would take more time organizing it then it's worth. This has cardstock that I can't fit into my paper cart and my Creative Memories paper trimmers. It also has my recently finished scrapbook and if you notice the black box, that is all I have to take when I want to crop and make a scrapbook. It is a nifty little box that Creative Memories makes that has a system that makes it easier for you to take your scrapbook in the making places without taking a ton of stuff. This is kinda my "junk" drawer. I just put miscellaneous things in it that won't fit in the drawers that I would like them to.I have three drawers of stamp pads and one drawer of Primas. I have the drawers assorted by color family. I put two color families in the first drawer and then in the second drawer I have the new In Color and my neutral colors in the same drawer. In the bottom drawer I put the old In Colors and behind all the stamp pads I have some stampin' spots. These are some cards that I have created and just haven't found an excuse to send them out....ok I just like them so much I didn't want to give them away. LOL.The ribbon drawer.....I know I think I need another drawer. There are probably about 15-20 spools of ribbon under all of that loose ribbon. One of my addictions....shhh don't tell anybody. I go to ribbon addicts anonymous!I keep my prismacolor pencils and my embossing materials in this drawer. It's not a very big drawer because I don't use my embossing stuff too often. I just use it when I remember to.Starting at the top I have all of my Bella stamps and some punch outs that I got so I wouldn't have to actually buy the punches. I know I know, I'm a cheater. The top right drawer has my Creative memories punches and cutting system. The bottom left has re-inkers, stickles, and a few other things. Finally, the bottom right drawer has, well you guessed it, more ribbon. It's all loose ribbon that I put in jars. There are three jars in there total. Finally, the last picture that I have of all my stuff. More paper and more scrapbooks. Well I hope you all enjoyed my stamping space as much as I do. Hope you all had a great weekend and happy stamping!
