Workshop Card and Scrapbook Page
I made a card for a workshop that I am going to be doing in February. I initially bought the Peaceful Wishes make and take kit for Christmas, but I didn't have a chance to make it. I wanted to do a beginners card for my mom's class so I used her favorite stamp set and just used the make and take kit paper. The only difference between the make and take was the color of ribbon that I used. I used the burgundy organdy ribbon. I also added artichoke eyelets. This is the scrapbook page that I made for her. I took the layout from page 91 of Stampin' Up's! idea book and catalog. I use the Butterfly of Happiness stamp set. It was a very simple page. I wasn't too sure if the people that were coming were beginners or not. I rather prefer doing simple stuff at workshops that way it eliminates having a really long workshop. I just hate when you have a mixed crowd of beginners and more advanced people. It is harder to cater to their individual needs. Also, it takes the beginners longer to make the more complicated projects and the more advanced people are just sitting around waiting for something else to do, while the others finish the project at hand. I just like to stick to the basics.
