Happy Birthday To......

I had three birthday cards to make this past week. My mom, my big sister and my son's other grandma. My mom likes horses so I used my new Bronc Buster stamp set. If you notice, I made a small mistake on this card. Can anybody tell me what it is? Leave me a comment and tell me what it is and I will send you a special something. First person to answer correctly will get a special something in the mail :).Ingredients: Stamp Sets-Bronc Buster, It's Your Birthday Paper-Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Naturals Ivory, Whisper White, DS Paper Outlaw Ink-Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip Accessories-Photo Corner Punch, Dimesionals, Pewter Hodge Podge Brads, Piercing Tool and Template.

I made this card for my big sister. I love my Roses in Winter stamp set. I will never give it up....it's mine *laughs hysterically*. Well anyhow enough of the craziness and on to the good stuff.

Ingredients: Stamp Set-Roses In Winter Paper-Apricot Appeal, Bravo Burgundy, Shimmery White, Old Olive, Always Artichoke Ink-Apricot Appeal, Bravo Burgundy, Shimmery White, Old Olive, Always Artichoke Accessories-Burgundy Ribbon, Stamping Sponges

I finally got around to using my Garden Silhouettes stamp set. I have seen so many really cute cards made with it but I just haven't gotten around to using it. I thought it would be one of those sets that I loved but couldn't come up with any decent cards with it, BUT....I guess I was wrong. Which might I add is the first time ever that I have been wrong, after all I am a woman *grins* This card I made for my son's grandma. I actually love it. It turned out very nice.

Ingredients: Stamp Sets-Garden Silhouettes, It's Your Birthday Paper-Soft Sky, Really Rust, Old Olive, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, DS Paper Fall Flowers Ink-Soft Sky, Really Rust, Old Olive Accessories-Hemp Twine, Stampin Write Markers

My daughter is at her grandma's house until Saturday or Sunday and my son is going to pre-school at his other grandma's house. So it is just me and my DH. So I am hoping to get plenty of stamping done. Well I hope you all have a great weekend and happy stamping!

Who Likes Free Rubbah????

I have hit my 100 posts and I think I am going to celebrate with some blog rubbah!!! Kinda sounds a little morbid but you guys know what I mean! So I guess you all wanna know what bit of rubbah you'll be commenting for....well it is your choice of two stamp sets. You either have the choice of getting the new Merry & Bright (remember the sets in the mini are die cut which means you won't have to mount them!) stamp set from the unreleased Holiday Collection Mini Catalog on page 15 or Haunting Halloween stamp set from the current IB&C which can be found on page 29. If you have not had the chance to see the new mini catalog and do not know what the set looks like I would gladly e-mail you a copy of it to you.

What do you have to do to win you may ask......well you will have to comment telling me what you dislike about the new catalog. I did a what you like about it already so now I want to hear what you dislike about the catalog. If you don't dislike anything about the new catty then you have the option to tell me something you do like about it.

Good luck to all of you! By the way, the deadline for entries is September 7, 2007 by noon. I am going out of town next week so that is why I am posting the deadline for so far out. My DH is going to be having another procedure done on his back. If I post anything it will be below this entry because I want to keep this entry at the top of the page. So good luck to all of you and happy stamping!

Baby Shower Cards For Brandie.....

I made Brandie's baby shower cards. Her shower isn't until November but I thought since we might be moving before then, I would go ahead and make them. I case'd Tara from the card swap I did with Kimberly at Crafty Me that you can view at this post.
I made a stack of 20 for her this afternoon. I hired my dh to help me out and lemme tell you he was a really big help. He did all my CB embossing and colored all the green on my giraffes and sponged for me. He also helped with adhering things together. Isn't he just wonderful???? Well I think he is a tremendous help!

Here is a close up of the card. I can't remember what the name of the patterned paper is but I thought it matched well with the colors.

Ingredients: Paper-Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Sage Shadow, Whisper White Ink-Certainly Celery, Sage Shadow, Staz On Jet Black, Barely Banana Stamp Set-Bundle Of Joy Accessories-Celery Ribbon, Banana Ribbon (not SU!), Cuttle Bug Embossing Folder Spots n Dots (I think).

The information pulls out from behind the giraffe. I thought it was a fun way to show the info for the shower. Well hope everybody is having a good week and I just noticed that I made it to 100 posts so I will have to do some more blog candy to celebrate so keep your eyes peeled and happy stamping!

Well I hope everybody has a great weekend and I will be giving some blog candy away. I will post pictures of it and what you will need to do to win later on today. Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Anniversary Cards...

My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary on August 1st. We didn't really do anything special, but we did both make each other cards and we saw the new Harry Potter movie. I used the Boatloads of love stamp set and he used the Wonderful Words stamp set.

I tried really hard to make it manly, and I think I did a really good job of it.

This is the card that my wonderful husband made for me. I think it turned out really good.

Another Frame.....

I made another frame a couple of days ago and just now got around to taking pictures. It has just been a stressful couple of days. I made it for my ex-husband and his new wife. I know it sounds weird, but we actually have a really good relationship now that we're divorced. So I thought it would be nice to give them a little house warming gift. Ingredients: Stamp sets- Headline Alphabet Paper- Outlaw designer series paper, Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Naturals Ivory, Creamy Caramel Accessories- Twill tape, Sponges, Photo Corner Punch, Silver Eyelets, Piercing Template, Ticket Corner Punch, Tag Corner Punch (I think that is what it's called) Inks- Really Rust, Chocolate ChipHere is a close up. I thought that if i used the ticket corner punch on the rust and chocolate chip paper and left the naturals ivory paper un-cut that it would make it look a little more western. I sponged on all of the paper to give it that old look. I sponged the twill tape with really rust ink. I also used silver eyelets around the photo corner. Well anyhow I hope everybody has a great weekend and happy stamping!

A Frame For My Parents...

I made a name frame for my parents last night and I think it turned out to be the best one that I have made yet! They have a slight horse themed living room so I used the new Outlaw paper. I didn't have the Bronc Buster stamp set or the Wanted stamp set so I decided to utilize what I had and even though I didn't have any stamp sets that matched, it still turned out looking great!I used the photo corner punch and put brads from the pewter hodgepodge. I also attached some chocolate chip ribbon to the H and N.Here are the close ups of the letters. I distressed the letters with chocolate chip ink and also the cardstock that I mounted the letters on. Anyhow I hope everybody has a great weekend and happy stamping!
