A Not So Stamping Day...

I have seen several of you have posted this little movie survey on your blogs. I think so far out of the ones that I have seen, I have the most movies seen. If anybody has no life, it's me! If you can beat me let me know so I don't feel alone in the whole "has no life" aspect of my life (if that makes any sense to you). I will send you a special something in the mail for beating me...NO cheating...be honest.

Happy stamping!!!

Unforgettable...

I stamped last night!!! I know what an accomplishment huh!?! I traded my friend one of my stamp sets for her unforgettable stamp set. I think it is adorable! I have been eyeballing it for quite some time now and just haven't gotten around to buying it. I am "saving" to get the new stuff out of the preview. I only really want one stamp set and then I am definitely getting the new paper and stamp pads. The colors are so wonderful. Anyhow enough with the rambling and on to the card I made last night. I used the new ribbon that I got in the mail the other day. I used my prismacolor pencils for all the coloring. It didn't take me that long to color everything. I thought it would take an hour, but it only took me about 15 minutes! Hope everybody had a great weekend and happy stamping!

Happy Birthday Cacie!!!

My sister-in-law's birthday was a few days ago and I just wanted to share the card that I made for her.I got a bunch of Bella Stamps and finally made something with them. The flowers on the card are from these acrylic stamps that I got from Wal-Mart. They are called Clear Stamps. I will have to show you all what they look like a little later. I also used a greeting from Stamping Bella. It is a two-fold card and the ribbon holds it closed. I used some K & Company rhinestones on the primas that I bought from the Emporium.

I also got some happy mail today! I love getting mail! Would you like to see what I got??? I knew you did so here it is.

I ordered three new paper packs, some really cute ribbon, and some rhinestone brads from S.E.I. I got two Basic Grey paper packs(Stella Ruby and Romani) and a paper pack from Crate Paper(Taylor Collection). I got all of it from Paper Cents. You can click the link in my side bar to get some great deals! Here is the close up of the ribbon. Isn't it just lovely??? It was a buy it by the yard sale and I got it for about .75 cents a yard. What a deal! Then I also used a coupon I got in my e-mail. I love coupons. I get so much more when I use them. Well hopefully I will get to use them today and post what I make. Happy stamping!

My New Stamping Space!!!!

My husband and I finished putting my new stamping cubes together. They are really cute and I love them! We got them at Target in San Angelo. It took me quite a while to put them all together, but it was totally worth it!

I am currently using the file cabinet for my stamps. The slots will be used for paper, but as for right now they are being used for my stamp scrubs and trimmers. The top cube is being used for storing my punches, Cuttlebug folders, extra blades and adhesive, and my tools that I use on a daily basis. I will take pictures of the inside of them as soon as I get them all organized.

My table sits in the middle of the two storage units. You can see my radio underneath. I felt that by putting it under the table, it wouldn't take up so much of my space. This is the other side. I have my stamp pads in the quad cube along with my primas. The bottom three drawers have my prismacolor pencils, pastels, and a bunch of other stuff. Currently the file drawer isn't being used for anything, but like I said it will be soon. There is some paper in the four slot cube and I will be adding more soon. The top quad cube is being used for ribbon, modpodge, stampin' around wheels and handles and some other miscellaneous items.

I am going to try to put everything in them this weekend and will take more pictures later. Well hope you like my new space because I know I do! Happy stamping!

More Scrapbook Pages!

I woke up extra early this morning to post the rest of the pictures from the scrapbook I have been working on (and to finish the laundry).
We took some pictures of Molly's first time in the grass before it got really cold this past "winter." We live in Texas, so I don't know if you would really call it a winter. But anyway it was the perfect time to take pictures of her. She didn't know how to crawl yet, but she was trying to.
Throughout most of this scrapbook I either used the Petals and Paisley DS paper or the Dots and Dashes paper from SU!. They were perfect for kids. Spring-y and great for kids. You can't really tell how great my pages are because the digital camera we have is ancient. My husband has had it since he graduated high school, I think. I know I have to go get a new one. I have been a bit lazy and didn't really want to think about or look at them.
This book is mainly of Molly and Caleb (with a few of my husband and myself) and some of them were of when Molly was just a baby. She liked to pull hair and that is why you see Caleb with a slight grimace on his face (he is a bit of a whiner!).
These are of them playing in the bath tub together. As you can tell, Caleb didn't want to share his toys with her. I blurred out his private areas because some of you that are reading have young ones that love to peak over your shoulder.
I used the hostess simply scrappin' paper pack when I did this layout. Caleb and Molly act more like friends right now then brother and sister. Caleb loves to let Molly ride on his back. He tells me, "Momma, say Wee-Haw..." It is very cute, but after a dozen times of saying it, I get a little bored with saying it.
These were just a few miscellaneous pictures of Molly that I liked and I thought they would be cute to use on a page by their self. Yes, she is in the dryer in one of them. I put her in there while I was putting dirty laundry in the washing machine. She liked it in there actually. I also have her first "box" experience on this page too! It was my first big order that I had placed with SU! and when it got there I had taken everything out and my husband decided to put her in it and let her play with the paper.
Molly is definitely a daddy's girl for sure. The top picture is of when it snowed (I know snow, in Texas...how weird that was!) and we had went outside to play. The bottom one is of Mike giving Molly her pacifier with his mouth. She always laughs and giggles when he does it!
Caleb calls Molly, "Mo" and so that is the reason that the title says Mo instead of Molly. He liked to drag her down the hallway by her foot and take her to his room so she will play with him. They also like to play in the laundry basket. In this picture he was actually dragging her around the kitchen in it.
Molly's favorite past time is being nude! She hates being clothed. We are trying to potty train Caleb and he didn't want to sit on the potty (or stand for that matter) so we tried to guilt him into doing it by putting Molly on the potty. Of course it didn't work, but at least we go a good picture out of it.
We played outside one day and afterwards we came inside and ate Popsicles. Neither one of my kids will eat it off the stick so I cut them up and put them in a bowl. It was Molly's first Popsicle and she at the whole thing. Believe it or not, she didn't make a huge mess either!
Mike took the pictures above. He said that they were playing in his room and all he heard was hysterical laughing. So he went to see what they were doing and they were playing with two monkey rattles. I don't know what could be so funny about monkey rattles, but whatever it was it was pretty funny to them.
We were playing with Molly on the sofa when we noticed that all of her hair was standing up on end. It was so funny and she got a good laugh out of it as well.
Molly loves to play with Mike's BDU hat. I decided that we needed some pictures of her playing with one. I was going to title it "Military Mo", but put Molly instead. It wasn't long enough to put it all on there so I went with Molly.
Have you ever seen those flavored puffs in the shape of a star that they make for toddlers? I think Gerber makes them. Well my kids love them. I got pictures of them feeding them to each other.
Molly couldn't walk yet so I put her in her walker and dumped stars on her tray. When Caleb would run out, he would steal them out of her tray.
These are just some random pictures of her when we were playing outside that same day. I think they are so adorable. She is such a cutie pie.
Caleb was looking at the neighbors around the corner and was "hiding" so they couldn't see him.
I got him to "pose" for me so I could get some good pictures of him to send to his grandparents. I only got a few good ones out of him, but they are very handsome pictures. He is growing up so fast. He will be going to his grandma's house at the first of June to go to preschool for the summer. I am going to miss him so much.
The very bottom left picture, he is giving me his "Mean" face (as he calls it). I thought it was such a cute picture, I couldn't resist putting it on this page. These are all the pages I have finished so far. I just got our Easter pictures developed so I will get started on them sometime this week. I will also be posting pictures of the new storage stuff I got for Mother's day. I love them! Hope every one had a great weekend and happy stamping!

Caleb and Molly's Scrapbook

I finally finished (well all the pictures that I have so far) Caleb and Molly's scrapbook. I thought that I would post pictures of what I have completed. All most of them need is journaling. I am going to put the journaling in later, but for now here is what I have so far!

I started at Caleb's second birthday and will end with his thrid birthday.
I used a Creative Memories album and all the paper and most of the embellishments are Stampin' Up! For Caleb's second birthday, I got him a John Deere Cake made at a bakery I had worked at while I was getting divorced.
He loves riding his John Deere tractor. I think we will be getting him a motorized Gator for third birthday next month. I am sure he will love it too!

I used my prismacolor pencils to color in the circus train stamp set on both of these pages.

I tried to keep most of this album consistent with the titles and most of it I used the rule of thirds.

I am still debating if I should blend the color on the train or not. I think the bottom picture shows a better view of the train without it being blended.

I had just had Molly the month before these pictures were taken. I was so thin (I still am, but only a month had past by)!

Caleb had gotten a train set for his birthday and that is why I had chosen to use the circus train stamp set. Besides, what boy doesn't like trains? I thought it would be appropriate.

I think this is one of a few stamp set that I have that they didn't discontinue.

I put some of Molly's developmental stages such as rolling and standing. I have left some more blank spots because I have some more pictures to add to it and journaling to the page of her rolling.
The pictures of her standing are of when she first learned how to stand up and hold onto the railing of her bed.
I have to go run a few errands right now so I will have to finish posting the rest of these pages later. Hope every one's mother's day was great and happy stamping!

The Birthday Girl!

Here are some of the pictures of Molly's first birthday. I made her a yellow cake with chocolate icing. If you notice I made her her own miniature cake. She enjoyed it pretty thoroughly as you can see from the picture!
I just thought I would share her first birthday cake picture with you all! I just got my bella stamps the other day and will hopefully post some of the stuff I have made so stay tuned and happy stamping!

We Have A Winner...and Happy Birthday Molly!!!!!

I used a very sophisticated method of drawing a winner (I wrote numbers on a sheet of paper, cut them out, and drew from a cereal bowl). The number I chose was number 9!

Peggy S said...
I will miss Living Large -- such a cute set. But there are many that will be missed! Some really good ones.. but looking forward to seeing the new sets!

Peggy if you could please send your address to
jennifernellenback@hotmail.com, I will get your stuff in the mail ASAP!

I enjoyed reading all the comments that everybody left. I am glad (in a way) to know that I am not the only person that will mourn the discontinuing of a favorite stamp set. I would post a picture, but I am still having camera issues. I will be getting a new camera and rechargeable batteries this coming week so stay tuned for more cards and happy stamping!

In Memory Of...and Some Blog Candy!

As most of you know, the retired list from Stampin' Up! came out yesterday. My beloved Roses in Winter stamp set is going to be retired *sobs*. I am still going to use it, but will be sad that I can't demo it. Anyhow I know how all of you just love blog candy.

To commemorate the loss of my favorite stamp set (and in appreciation of my readers), I am going to offer up a little blog candy. It's nothing much, but I think you will like it. I love my tiny bubbles folder and thought that I could give one away along with some assorted Prima flowers and a couple of other goodies.

*UP DATE* Since my battery supply has diminished and I have been too lazy to go to the store and get more. Yes I know...shame on me. Getting to the point, I will put a list of the blog candy that you will win.

Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug Folder, 10 assorted colors from the studio 24q primas, 10 assorted lavendar and 10 burgundy got flowers primas, 5 June rose primas, 5 April daisy primas, 10 assorted SU! cardstock, 5 blank coasters, and a few other goodies to go along with it. Consider it mystery candy! I will take a picture and announce a winner on Friday at 6:00 p.m.

All you have to do to win is post a comment telling me what retired stamp set from SU! you are going to miss. If you don't like SU! stamps, then just leave me a comment about yourself. Tell me something strange about yourself. I can't wait to hear your comments. Happy stamping!
